Vineyard Haardter Mandelring

  • Gradient: 30% slightly hilly  - 70% flat
  • Soil: marl loam to clay

A third of the Mandelring vineyard is located in Haardter and about two thirds on Neustadter ground. The name, which literally means ‘almond ring’, refers to the almond trees that grow in the area. It may also be a derivation of the Old German word ‘mandar’, meaning ‘almond pine’.
